Doing mission well

One of our strategic aims is to raise standards through promoting good practice. Our motivation in raising standards is based on our desire that God is glorified in all that our members do. We also recognise the legal and moral responsibilities and obligations of our members ministries and the desire to serve staff, participants and partners in the best way possible.

One key area where some common standards have been widely used for some time is the Short-Term Code of Best Practice. The Code was revised in 2005, and the process for monitoring the code was redeveloped in 2006. The list of organisations and churches signed up to the code for 2009-2010 is now available.

In response to the network's desire for further codes and guidelines and several Global Connections forums have been working on papers relating to different areas of ministry.
